Based on a tie bar design the range of cylinders offer durable construction with high degree of corrosion resistance in comparison to welded designs.

The maximum speed of operation is dependent upon the selected material of construction and sealing technique.

The materials are selected with respect to the application, duty cycle and fluid. Standard are 316 and high-grade engineering polymer, an additional ceramic coating can be applied for extreme environments and duty cycles.

The range ensures an appropriate life with low maintenance at the most cost-effective solution is applied.

Janus cylinders are manufactured in an all stainless steel 316 design. The cylinders come in a standard of “end types” threaded rod, spherical rod end, piston end flange, piston spherical rod end etc. Janus cylinders may also be customer specified. From ∅32 to 150mm bores as standard.
